Mounted on a raised roof Lance 2000 chassis, this well engineered unit is much more agile than its size would suggest, and it can get into places some smaller apparatus find difficult. ET244 has a 1250gpm single stage Waterous pump and a 2000 gallon poly -tank. A front mounted suction provides easy access to both hydrants and water holes. A rear mounted direct tank fill expedites reloading. This unit is powered by a 500hp Detroit Series 60 engine coupled to an Allison automatic transmission.

ET244 carries 40 gallons of class foam with an eductor at the pump panel. This unit is equipped with an 8kw generator, electric vent fan, 2 - 1.75 pre-connects, 2 - 2.5 pre-connects, 1500' of LDH,  35' and 24' extension ladders,  14' roof ladder, 5 SCBA with spare bottles, Elkhart Stinger deck pipe (convertible), LDH appliances,  assorted forcible entry and engine company tools. Assorted salvage covers & tarps. An all Whelen lighting package, WS295 electronic and Federal Q2B mechanical siren provide the warning.

The pumper/tanker is fully equipped for the attack role and is often first out for structural calls during the day. ET244 is first- out for mutual aid calls into non-hydrant areas, or when a tanker response is specified. ET244 also appeared in the Pierce catalog for the Lance product line.
